Fixture
Allocations
Western
Districts Netball Association (WDNA) requests that all Clubs supply an Umpire
for each of their games, except for A Grade and A Reserve, for which WDNA provide High-Performance Squad
umpires.
KBNC has a weekly Umpiring Roster that is determined by umpire availability. The
Umpire Coordinator manages this roster and contacts all umpires in the lead up
to Saturday matches. It is an expectation that all umpires confirm their
allocated games within 24 hours. Failure to do so, may result in the
allocated game being offered to another umpire.
KBNC is responsible for ensuring each umpire is allocated to matches of suitable
standard. Accordingly, please contact the Umpire Coordinator if you need to change your game/s with another umpire.
The current Saturday roster can be found
via the link sent by the Umpire Coordinator.
On
Match Day
Umpires
are to wear a predominantly white shirt and white or black skirt or white
or black shorts. Alternatively, an umpire may be in Club Uniform, with a white
shirt over the top of the uniform. Appropriate
sports footwear must be always worn.
It
is important you are independently prepared, that is have your own whistle, white shirt,
drink bottle, copy of the rules etc.
You must arrive at your allocated court no later than 15 mins prior to commencement of the game (or as soon as possible after the completion of your game should you be umpiring or playing prior). As parking is often difficult this may require you be dropped off in the Drop Off Zone and head to your court while your parent/carer parks their car.
Note, WDNA may at their
discretion swap you on to another game for operational
requirements.
Please advise the Umpire
Coordinator if this has occurred
Too
sick to umpire? If you are unable to umpire, as you are sick or
injured on Match Day, you must contact the Umpire Coordinator by text, as soon
as possible, so a replacement umpire may be found.
